The International Universal Health Coverage Day is celebrated annually on December 12th to ensure healthcare access for the most vulnerable groups, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization. Universal Health Coverage is promoted as a key tool to strengthen the right to health globally, based on numerous international agreements and documents that affirm this right and call for its realization.
